Faye Tabor - Artistic Director, Choreographer, and Dancer

Faye has studied tap under Mark Yonally, Jay Fagan, and Lane Alexander, among others. As a Tap Scholar and winner of the “You be the Judge” award from Chicago Human Rhythm Project, she has taken master classes with such tap greats as Dianne Walker, Maurice Hines, Sam Weber, Linda Sohl-Elison, Tres Dumas, Ayodele Casel, and Michelle Dorrance. Additionally, she was a founding member of and performed with Dig Tap Society under the direction of Sarah Savelli.  Faye graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. from DePaul University and earned an M.S. from Northwestern University.  While at DePaul, she choreographed and performed with Revelations Dance Company and studied modern dance under Linda Kahn. Currently, Faye teaches and choreographs in the Chicagoland area and performs as a guest artist.  Recent appearances include Juba Masters of Tap and Glenn Leslie and Friends. She is excited to fulfill her dream through the creation of Joie de la Vie Dance Collective!

Maddie Cleveland -  Choreographer and Dancer

 

Maddie earned a degree in Theater from Illinois State University. While there, she was a member of Poise Dance Team and won the “Most Well-Rounded” dancer award. Her theater choreography credits include Aladdin, High School Musical, and Shakespeare’s All’s Well That Ends Well. She has also performed in numerous productions including Oz, the Musical directed by Todrick Hall.  She is the Theater Director at The Academy of Music and Art and teaches theater and dance classes throughout the Chicagoland Area. Maddie is thrilled to be a part of Joie de la Vie Dance Collective!

Emily Clark- Choreographer and Dancer

Emily has trained in multiple dance styles. She competed with the Shining Lights Dance Team, earned an “Outstanding Tap Award,” and performed throughout the Chicagoland area.  She made her theatrical debut in Oz, the Musical directed by Todrick Hall. Emily currently teaches tap, jazz, and ballet at Leap of Faith Arts Ministries and attends Joliet Junior College. She looks forward to dancing wit Joie de la Vie Dance Collective!
